Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Program
Thank you for your interest in applying for a grant (Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant) from the AMP Foundation Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Program (Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Program). There are a few things you need to know before you submit your application, and this document sets out the terms and conditions which apply to each Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant application (Application).
By submitting an Application, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant Terms and Conditions).
1. AMP Foundation Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grants
1.1 The AMP Foundation has established the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Program to support social enterprises during their startup phase with the aim to assist them to commence trading within 12 months of starting the program.
1.2 The AMP Foundation will provide up to 8 Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grants, for successful individuals or teams of up to two people.
1.3 The Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grants are a total grant sum of up to A$110,000 for applicants who:
(a) meet the relevant social enterprise and eligibility criteria outlined in these Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant Terms and Conditions, and
(b) are judged to be successful applicants by the selection panel.
(IGNITE Tomorrow Makers)
1.4 The Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant will comprise two components:
(a) Phased funding of up to A$100,000 to be used to fund the costs associated with the social enterprise preparing to and starting to trade, including but not limited to:
(i) Salaries,
(ii) Operational costs,
(iii) Development and prototyping costs,
(iv) Travel,
(v) Capacity development.
(b) At least A$10,000 to be used for capacity building which may include:
(i) Engaging sector and business experts aligned with the social enterprise's development and impact plan objectives using a service provider aligned with the AMP Foundation Tomorrow Makers program or another service provider with the mutual agreement of the AMP Foundation and the IGNITE Tomorrow Maker,
(ii) Mentoring and coaching,
(iii) Short courses (max 4 weeks) and conferences.
1.5 IGNITE Tomorrow Makers will be required to meet key milestones to unlock the phased funding over a 12 month period as follows:
(i) 50% of grant funding in week 1 after commencing the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Program, and
(ii) 50% of grant funding in November 2025 upon completion of report outlining items or services you have spent the funds received in clause 1.5(i) on.
In the first instance the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant funds (IGNITE Grant Funds) will be disbursed directly into an AMP Bank digital account. IGNITE Tomorrow Makers must establish a bank account with AMP Bank to be eligible to receive the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant. Exceptions will be considered on a case by case basis where an IGNITE Tomorrow Maker faces a genuine barrier to opening an AMP Bank digital account.
1.6 IGNITE Tomorrow Makers must also participate in the IGNITE Tomorrow Makers peer support program, delivered by Impact Boom, which will involve:
(a) Professional development and impact plan,
(b) Monthly online group workshop with 2025 IGNITE Tomorrow Makers cohort,
(c) Access to online collaboration platform,
(d) Online learning modules,
(e) Reignite Impact Leader’s Retreat.
1.7 The AMP Foundation will assess each Application on individual merit – chance plays no part in the award of a Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant.
1.8 IGNITE Tomorrow Makers will be publicly announced in May 2025 (exact date to be confirmed) and information about the recipients of each Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant will be posted on the AMP Foundation website.
2. Eligibility
2.1 Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grants will be awarded to individuals or a team (of up to two people) who have:
(a) A social enterprise business model ready to start operating, or
(b) An existing social enterprise ready to scale.
2.2 An Application must:
(a) Meet the AMP Foundation Tomorrow Makers Program definition of a Social Enterprise (see clause 8.1(d) below),
(b) Include a Social Enterprise Business Model,
(c) Include a detailed budget for up to A$110,000,
(d) Include a short video about your social enterprise,
(e) Support at least one of the Funding Streams, and
(f) Confirm the Applicant can commence and participate fully in the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Program from June 2025, including the two day retreat and two day in person immersive.
2.3 To be eligible for a Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant each Applicant must as at the date of submission of their Application be:
(a) Living in Australia, and
(b) An Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia.2.4 AMP employees and contractors are eligible to apply for a Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant.
2.5 You are not eligible to apply for a Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant if you have lived outside Australia for two or more years immediately prior to the Closing Date or are intending to move overseas within the next 24 months.
2.6 If you are under 18 years of age you are able to submit an Application, but you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. Your parent or legal guardian must have read and discussed the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant Terms and Conditions with you and consent by your parent or legal guardian must be provided in writing in your Application.
2.7 Applicants in the final stages of the application process will be asked to disclose any previous convictions, which does not automatically exclude your social enterprise being chosen, and AMP Foundation's decision-making discretion under clause 3.12 shall apply.
2.8 Applicants who have applied for an AMP Foundation Tomorrow Makers grant in previous years, but were not successful, are eligible to apply for a Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant.
2.9 Previous AMP Foundation Tomorrow Makers are eligible to apply for a Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant as long as they meet the eligibility criteria in this clause.
3. The Application process
3.1 Applications will be open from 10am (AEDT) on Wednesday 15 January 2025 and close at 2pm (AEDT) on Wednesday 5 February 2025 (Closing Date).
3.2 The AMP Foundation will not accept any Applications submitted after the Closing Date.
3.3 You can only apply for a Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant electronically through the online Application form accessed from the AMP Foundation website. Applications submitted via other means will not be accepted.
3.4 Applications can include text and online links that will help the selection panel assess your Application.
3.5 Please take care when completing your Application, as incorrect or incomplete Application forms may not be accepted.
3.6 Each Applicant may only submit one Application and you cannot change your Application once it has been submitted.
3.7 Each Applicant will be provided with a unique Application number once their Application has been submitted. Please keep a copy of this number and include it in all correspondence with the AMP Foundation regarding your Application.
3.8 You will also be sent a PDF copy of your Application form. We recommend that you save this PDF copy, so you have a record of it.
3.9 At any time after you have submitted your Application, we may contact you if we need to clarify or obtain additional information in relation to your Application. We may also contact your referees and we may do a background check to verify any information you have included in your Application form. By submitting your Application form, you consent to allow us to contact your referees and conduct checks to verify the information contained in your Application form. You may also be required to provide additional information and complete additional forms in order to allow us to conduct our background checks and you agree to do this if requested.
3.10 The AMP Foundation team uses a rigorous assessment program over several months to select IGNITE Tomorrow Makers. This process includes review of the detailed Application form, phone interviews and potential requests for additional information if required.
3.11 Shortlisted Applicants will be notified in March 2025 and asked to present their social enterprise to a selection panel in April 2025.
3.12 The AMP Foundation selection panel will have absolute discretion in judging all Applications and in deciding the finalists and winners of the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grants. The panel's decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
4. Obligations on IGNITE Tomorrow Makers
Mandatory Program Obligations
4.1 IGNITE Tomorrow Makers will be required to attend:
(a) Monthly cohort workshops (online):
- Duration: Two hours
- Dates: Commencing Monday 2 June 2025 to Monday 4 May 2026
(b) Reignite Impact Leader’s Retreat
- Duration: Two days (two nights)
- Location: Midginbil Eco Resort, Midginbil NSW
- Date: 28-30 July 2025
Accommodation and meals will be covered by the AMP Foundation. Travel to the retreat, including flights, are not covered by the AMP Foundation. The Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant Funds are to be used to cover travel based on the AMP Foundation Travel Guidelines.
(c) Tomorrow Makers IGNITE immersive and the Tomorrow Makers SPARK Showcase
- Duration: 1.5 days (two nights)
- Location: Sydney
- Date: 25 and 26 November 2025
Travel, accommodation and meals are not covered by AMP Foundation. The Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant Funds are to be used to cover these expenses based on the AMP Foundation Travel Guidelines.
(d) Showcase / awards event:
- Location: Sydney
- Date: May 2026

AMP Foundation Travel Guidelines
4.2 Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant Funds used for travel, accommodation and meals must be spent in accordance with the following guidelines:
(a) Bookings: IGNITE Tomorrow Makers must book their own travel.
(b) Transport: Airport transfers, taxis, train and ride sharing costs to and from:
(i) Residence to airport, and
(ii) Airport to destination.
(c) Air: Airfares must be economy class.
(d) Accommodation: Not to exceed A$300 per night.
(e) Meals: Not to exceed $100 per day (where meals are not provided).
AMP Bank Digital Accounts
4.3 IGNITE Tomorrow Makers must establish a bank account with AMP Bank to be able to receive the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant Funds. Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis where an IGNITE Tomorrow Maker faces a genuine barrier to opening an AMP Bank digital account.
Promotion and Media
4.4 By applying for a Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant, you agree to participate in promoting your involvement in the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Program and the AMP Foundation (including the way in which you use or intend to use your Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant) for a period of five years from the date of announcement that you have been awarded a Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant. This may include media interviews organised by the AMP Foundation and the use of your photos and details of your Application in the AMP Foundation internal and external publications.
Social Media Promotion Requirement
4.5 IGNITE Tomorrow Makers are required to share a minimum of two posts across the duration of the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE program on every social media platform on which they are an active user that features or highlights the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Program.
4.6 Posts must positively highlight your involvement with the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Program, including experiences, insights or benefits.
4.7 Each post must include the official AMP Foundation handle (@AMPFoundation) and at least one relevant hashtag (#TomorrowMakersIGNITE).
4.8 Compliance with this Social Media Promotion Requirement is a condition of participation in the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Program. Failure to meet this Social Media Promotion Requirement may result in the suspension of your Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant or termination of your participation in the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Program.
Prior Written Approval for Publicity
4.9 If you are awarded a Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant you must:
(a) Not make any press or other release or announcement relating to your Application, the AMP Foundation or Tomorrow Makers without our prior written approval, and
(b) Any use of the AMP Foundation name, logo, or association on social media platforms must be in accordance with the social media guidelines outlined below:
(i) Protecting Reputation: You are responsible for ensuring that your social media activities do not harm the reputation of the AMP Foundation or the Tomorrow Makers program. Any content posted should reflect positively on the mission and values of the AMP Foundation,
(ii) Correct Usage: The AMP Foundation name and logo should only be used in a manner that accurately represents your affiliation with the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Program. Any incorrect or misleading usage is strictly prohibited,
(iii) Use of Multimedia: If sharing multimedia content (such as images or videos) related to the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Program, ensure that it aligns with the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Program's goals and values. Obtain necessary permissions for any content that involves third parties,
(iv) Confidentiality: You are expected to maintain confidentiality regarding any non-public information related to the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Program, the AMP Foundation, or Tomorrow Makers. This includes but is not limited to grant details, selection processes, and internal communications. Avoid sharing sensitive information on social media platforms,
(v) Disclosure of Affiliation: Clearly disclose your affiliation with the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Program when making any references to it on social media. Use appropriate disclaimers to avoid any confusion about your role, sponsorship, or support from the AMP Foundation,
(vi) Respectful Communication: Maintain a respectful tone in all social media interactions. Refrain from engaging in any form of harassment, discrimination, or offensive language. Uphold the values of diversity and inclusion when representing as an IGNITE Tomorrow Maker,
(vii) Notification of Changes: You are required to promptly inform the AMP Foundation of any changes to your social media handles, account names, or other identifying information. This ensures that the AMP Foundation is aware of all online channels associated with the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Program,
(viii) Consequences of Violation: This may include the withdrawal of approval, termination of association with the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Program, or other appropriate actions as deemed necessary by the AMP Foundation,
(ix) Positive Engagement: Actively engage with social media content in a positive and constructive manner. Encourage discussions that align with the values of the AMP Foundation and contribute to the overall mission of the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Program.
Reporting to the AMP Foundation
4.10 If successful, it is a condition of your Application that you will only use the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant for the purpose of supporting you through the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Program or to develop and grow the social enterprise outlined in your Application.
4.11 The AMP Foundation will request evidence that the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant Funds have been utilised in pursuit of this purpose. If you cannot, on request, provide written reports of your progress and/or evidence of expenditure, the AMP Foundation may ask you to return part or all of your IGNITE Grant Funds.
4.12 For your Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant reporting requirements:
(a) Please ensure you keep records of your spending (paper receipts or online transaction details for each item), and
(b) Twice a year (usually May and November) we will send you a reporting form to fill in. You need to tell us what you have done to move closer to launching your social enterprise, the items, or services you have spent the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant Funds on and any challenges you have faced or envisage.
Financial Advice
4.13 You must obtain your own advice in relation to the taxation consequences of any payment or receipt of a Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant.
5. Privacy
5.1 We take your privacy seriously, abiding by the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Your information will be collected by the AMP Foundation in order to process your Application (AMP Foundation Grant Process).
5.2 On the Application form you will be asked to consent to the AMP Foundation using and disclosing your personal information for purposes related to the AMP Foundation Tomorrow Makers and the AMP Foundation, including the AMP Foundation Grant Process and promotional and marketing purposes.
5.3 Your information may be shared with other AMP Foundation related entities and service providers and external subject matter experts in accordance with the AMP Foundation privacy policy which provides more information about how we use, manage, and protect the personal information we hold about individuals. You may locate a copy of our privacy policy at AMP Foundation Privacy Policy.
5.4 On the Application form you will also be asked to consent to us sharing your Application with Impact Boom, the delivery partner of the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Program. Impact Boom will use your information solely to assess the Application and provide the AMP Foundation with a view on its merits.
6. Personal statement
6.1 You will be asked to confirm that you have read and accept the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant Terms and Conditions.
By accepting, I acknowledge and agree that:
(a) I am eligible to apply for a Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant,
(b) The AMP Foundation may use and disclose my personal information in accordance with these Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant Terms and Conditions,
(c) The AMP Foundation may display and use the information and materials included in my Application, including any photographs, recordings, or images of me, on the AMP Foundation website, AMP Foundation Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter pages, and in any other materials that the AMP Foundation reasonably believes are appropriate for the promotion of the AMP Foundation Tomorrow Makers program,
(d) I have been told by my referees that they consent to include their names and contact details in my Application and to being contacted by the AMP Foundation representatives in relation to my Application,
(e) The AMP Foundation may modify the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant Terms and Conditions at any time on provision of written notice,
(f) The AMP Foundation reserves the right to cancel, suspend or change the IGNITE Program at any time without notice, and
(g) The AMP Foundation will not incur any liability, financial or otherwise to me in relation to the conduct of the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Program. The AMP Foundation assumes no obligation to reimburse or in any way compensate me for losses or expenses incurred in connection with my Application for a Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant or participation in the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Program.
I acknowledge and agree that if I am awarded a Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant:
(h) The amount granted to me, and the terms and conditions in relation to the timing and frequency of payment, will be determined by the AMP Foundation in its absolute discretion,
(i) I will enter into a written agreement with the AMP Foundation to confirm my acceptance of the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant Terms and Conditions,
(j) I will comply with the Social Media Promotion Requirement,
(k) I will only use Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant Funds for the purpose outlined in my Application. I acknowledge that the AMP Foundation will ask successful applicants to report twice a year and provide evidence of expenditure of grant funds (for example, in the form of receipts) that prove the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant Funds have been spent as set out in the Social Enterprise Business Model and Budget. Failure to comply or to acquit the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant within an agreed period or to comply with the Social Medial Promotion Requirement may require repayment to the AMP Foundation of the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant Funds, and
(l) I will be responsible for any and all applicable taxes I may be liable for in relation to receiving a Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant.
7. Parent/guardian consent
7.1 If the Applicant is under the age of 18 at the time of entering the AMP Foundation Grants Process this parent/guardian consent must be completed within the Application form:
I acknowledge and agree that:
(a) I am the Applicant's parent or legal guardian,
(b) I have read and understood the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant Terms and Conditions and have discussed these with the Applicant, and
(c) I consent to the Applicant applying for a Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant on and subject to the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant Terms and Conditions.
8. Interpretation
8.1 For the purposes of these Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant Terms and Conditions:
(a) "AMP Group" means AMP Limited (ACN 079 354 519) and any Related Body Corporate from time to time of AMP Limited and their respective Employees.
(b) "Applicant" means the individual applying for a Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant.
(c) "Application" means the online form used to apply for a Tomorrow Makers IGNITE Grant which can be accessed from ampfoundation.com.au.
(d) "Social Enterprise" means a business that primary focus has a social, cultural or environmental purpose that is described in its constitution and generates revenue from a trade or service, and, a percentage of its profit is reinvested into the purpose stated in its constitution.
(e) Tomorrow Makers IGNITE "Funding Streams" means any or all of the following:
Female-led Businesses: social enterprise ideas led by women or have a primary focus on empowering women, with a focus on empowering and supporting women entrepreneurs, increasing gender diversity in business, or addressing issues that disproportionately affect women.
First Nations People: social enterprise ideas created by or for Indigenous communities, with a focus on promoting the well-being and empowerment of First Nations People in Australia. It recognises the importance of Indigenous perspectives, culture, and knowledge in driving positive social impact, promoting reconciliation, empowerment, economic development and social justice.
Retire with Confidence: social enterprise ideas that improve the quality of life for older Australians transitioning into retirement or facing retirement challenges. It focuses on projects that promote social inclusion, health and well-being, financial security, and active aging, supporting seniors in their later years.
Improving Financial Fairness: social enterprise ideas that focus on improving financial literacy. It includes initiatives that promote financial education, budgeting skills, savings, investments, and other financial tools, empowering vulnerable or disadvantaged individuals and communities to make informed financial decisions and build financial resilience.
(f) "we", "us" and "our" means the AMP Foundation and includes its employees, contractors, and agents.
(g) "you" and "your" means Applicant.
