Tanya is deeply committed to empowering the entrepreneurial aspirations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across remote Australia. Her dedication has been recognised and celebrated, earning her the prestigious first 'People’s Choice Award' at the 2023 Tomorrow Makers SPARK showcase.
With extensive experience in developing sustainable, ethical, and culturally focused Indigenous enterprises, Tanya has spearheaded the development of the Remote OpShop Project.
The opshops are community-owned and led, fostering empowerment and self-determination underpinned by Circular Economy principles. Tanya has developed a business model that supports the Remote OpShop Project to scale for sustainability and impact.
