Wayne Pascoe

Due to the sensitive nature of a child’s death, bereaved parents and families are often left feeling isolated at a time when they need support the most. Wayne co-founded the Ladybird Care Foundation with four colleagues in honour of Wayne’s daughter, Emma Louise Pascoe, who tragically passed away at the age of 18. The Ladybird Care Foundation supports and empowers grieving families to find hope and purpose once again, with targeted bereavement care strategies. The Foundations' vision is to extend the volunteer-based peer mentor program throughout Australia. The grant will allow Wayne to hire a General Manager who will run the Foundation’s daily operations and access to a specialist bereavement care consultant.
