Driver of Economic Empowerment: Financial Inclusion
Financial Literacy Australia is a social enterprise using accessible technology to improve financial inclusion for people often excluded from traditional financial education - particularly people with disability, jobseekers and those living in regional and remote communities.
Founded by Daniel, a former financial counsellor in regional Victoria, Financial Literacy Australia delivers a national, app-based learning platform designed to be proactive and preventative, rather than crisis driven. The platform supports people to build financial capability at their own pace, shaped around individual goals, and lived circumstances.
Financial Literacy Australia is co-designing its next phase with the communities it serves. It employs jobseekers with disability as paid co-designers to contribute lived expertise, to build skills and create pathways into inclusive, flexible employment.
