Overview

The Tomorrow Makers IGNITE supports social enterprises in their startup phase to ensure they commence trading within 12 months of starting the program and build strong foundations for sustainable impact.

Throughout the 12-month program, delivered in partnership with Impact Boom you’ll receive bespoke capacity building support, the resources, tools and programs to progress the social enterprise to be market ready.

And receive a $110,000 in grant funding to support you through the start up of your social enterprise.

How it works

Over 12 months, Tomorrow Makers receive personalised support and develop a strategic plan to successfully start your social enterprise.

 

2026 program components include:

1. Professional development and impact action plan

Work alongside Entrepreneur-in-residence Tom Allen, Impact Boom to develop a 12-month Professional development and impact action plan outlining key actions, priorities and opportunities to strategically startup and grow your social enterprise.

 

2. Monthly online group workshops

Led by Entrepreneur-in-residence Tom Allen, Impact Boom and experienced facilitators, these sessions offer opportunities to learn, network and share with peers.

First online workshop on Tuesday 19 May, 12 pm - 2pm (AEST)

 

3. Two-day Reignite Impact Leader’s Retreat

The retreat hosted by Impact Boom brings together the cohort with Australia's impact-led leaders from the 'business for good' ecosystem for a variety of impact-themed workshops, guided conversations and most importantly, connection.

Tuesday 28 July, 12pm to Thursday 30 July, 3pm 2026 in Midginbil NSW

 

4. Business for Good Network (BFGN)

Connect with your cohort, Tomorrow Maker Alumni and purpose-led social entrepreneurs and gain access to further learning, events and resources online through the BFGN.

 

5. Online learning

Access key knowledge, practical exercises and valuable insights online through the BFGN.

 

6. Tomorrow Makers IGNITE immersive and attendance at the
Tomorrow Makers SPARK Showcase

Attend the AMP Foundation’s flagship event - Tomorrow Makers SPARK Showcase (in 2026 and 2027) followed the next day by a one day immersive with the cohort (2026 only).

7. Grant Funding

Receive up to $110,000 in grant funding to support you through the program and to develop your social enterprise. A minimum of $10,000 of the grant to be used for capacity building.

 

Attendance requirements:

o Monthly workshops: Attend 90% of the sessions

o Reignite Impact Leader’s Retreat: Mandatory

o Showcase and immersive event 2026 & 2027: Mandatory

Who is eligible

All applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. An individual or small team of up to 2 people that are driven to create positive social change in their communities.

2. Your initiative must be for profit, for purpose and meet the definition of a ‘social enterprise’. 

3. Must have a documented social enterprise business model for either a new social enterprise ready to start operating, or an existing social enterprise ready to scale (same service however new territory or market).

4. You are currently living in Australia and are a permanent resident or an Australian or New Zealand citizen.

5. Social Enterprises must be focused on supporting the conditions for Economic Empowerment at the community level.

6. Must be able to commence and participate in the all program components starting in May 2026.

How to apply

We recognise the effort involved in completing grant applications. In 2025, we received 201 Tomorrow Makers IGNITE applications and awarded 8 IGNITE Tomorrow Makers.

To reduce the time and effort required, the 2026 Tomorrow Makers IGNITE application process will be conducted in two phases:

Phase 1. Expression of interest (EOI)

Submit your EOI between Monday 2 February, 10am to Monday 16
February, 2pm (AEDT).

Phase 2. Full application (by invitation)

Shortlisted applicants will be notified via email and invited to complete a full application. The full application window will open between Tuesday 24 February, 10am to Tuesday 3 March, 2pm (AEDT).
